Laundering diapers is a science, and while it's generally a no-brainer, on occasion things can get complicated. Which is when most of us turn to the internet and spend all night reading through dozens of conflicting opinions on how to "fix" your diaper dilemma. At which point the smallest issue can become insurmountable.

Let us help! At diaperkind we live and breath laundry and can share with you the quickest, cheapest and most eco-friendly way to battle most any home laundering hiccup. Not to mention, get you started with a simple washing routine that can help you avoid any issues.

This class is intended for anyone home laundering who wants to learn more and/or develop a more efficient routine. Or for anyone who has been home laundering and has hit a roadblock.

In the class we will discuss:

  • Laundry science and the three main components of a properly washed diaper.
  • Chemistry and which products are best suited for which circumstances.
  • Different washers (from small portable units to industrial communal machines in a laundromat) and how to best utilize them.
  • How to easily fix and prevent common home laundering hiccups (residue, ammonia build-up, staining, stinky morning diapers).
  • Which styles of diapers, covers and doublers work best in which situations.
  • How to manage diaper rash and which ingredients are safe to use in the event you need to fight one.
  • and much more.

  • The class will held in the Spring of 2018 at Diaperkind 126 13th Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

Feel free to bring your stash of diapers as there will be plenty of time for troubleshooting and Q+A during and after the class.

Our retail "shop" will be open after the class for browsing and buying. Everyone attending the class will receive a discount coupon for shopping in our Shop and also a free sample of our new Diaperkind Washing Powder.

If you are totally new to cloth diapering, we encourage you to first take our Cloth Diaper 101class.
