Traveling with Cloth Diapers
If you'll have easy access to a washer while traveling, you can absolutely take your cloth diapers with you. In fact, we encourage it! When you set yourself to a "Skip" under My Service Schedule, there's a handy built-in $10/week rental fee, with the intent being that you'll be able to fully utilize those diapers (and avoid disposables!)
So how to go about it? Here's a handy checklist of what to bring:
-
- Diapers: Take 24-30* diapers with you
- Accessories: Diaper covers, Snappis, balm, etc.
- Washing Powder: Enough for your trip duration (some quick math: One 3 lb. bag = 8 weeks, if you do 2 loads/week)
- Day Bag: Great for daily outings!
- Pail Pouch: For trips longer than 3-5 days, you'll want something bigger
- Instructions: Self-Laundering Instructions
*24-30 diapers (plus the same number of cloth wipes if you have them, don't forget your Wipe Up Wash if using cloth wipes!) is the sweet spot quantity for self-laundering. It's the perfect fit for your machine and puts you laundering about 2 times per week.
If you need more of anything while you're away, or if you forget something, we ship pretty much anywhere, so you can order more and have us ship it to you.
This rental/self-laundering option saves you a ton over the cost of disposables and is contactless, wasteless, and endless too.
